The most recent venture for our family owned Creative Thread business.
We hope our online shop brings you a little of the flavour of our High Street shop and inspires you not only with Creative Thread kits but kits and patterns from independent UK and international makers; including award winning Crafty Kit Company, Hawthorn Handmade, Corinne Lapierre, Bothy, Tilly and the Buttons, Studio Dawn, Poppy Teffry. Alongside a range of carefully chosen 100% cotton fabrics from Makower, Henry Glass, Liberty and Bernatex to name a few. We also stock a colourful selection of felting fibres and equipment, Anchor embroidery Threads, hand dyed threads, Gutermann threads, quilting supplies & Stylecraft yarn.
Creative Thread Workshops
Above the shop we have our own Studio space where we teach workshops, this side of Creative Thread has been running for 10 years now
Textile and Sewing workshops are a wonderful way to explore your creativity, learn new skills, make new friends and relax away from everyday life now more than ever.
Meet the Team
Linda & Rebecca Owners
Linda is a great textiles teacher & has built up our successful workshop business! Rebecca runs the shop, ordering, helping customers & is in the process of taking over the workshop side of the business too!
Rachel
Rachel is with us a couple of days a week, fabulous at packing up our kits as well as designing them, she is super organised & great at keeping us on track as well as being a great help to our lovely customers! She has been with us since we opened in 2016!
Ruth
Ruth joined our team in January 2020, we were in need of an extra pair of hands & some extra knowledge for our knitting, crochet & dressmaking customers & we haven’t looked back since! You will find her in the shop on Fridays & some Saturdays too!
So whether you are a quilter, embroiderer, felt maker, dressmaker, knitter, textile artist and even a non- sewer Creative Thread Studio will have something for you…We hope to see you soon,
